GOUGH, GOW posted by Pamela Gow on 07/05/98
GOW, Chester. Looking for info on a Chester GOW, b abt 1905-1912 to William Purvis/Purves Gow and Minnie M. GOUGH. He had a brother, Howard William, who was born in Youngstown on 1 Jul 1909. I have located descendants of Howard, but no one seems to know anything about Chester. I heard my father talk about "cousin Chester" when I was little. I know that Chester died quite some time ago but I don't know where or when. Can anyone help?

MCAULAY, MCCAWLEY posted by Jenny Hawkins on 07/11/98
I am trying to find a McAULAY (or variant spelling) family who came from Scotland to Ohio after 1855. My g-g-grandmother Elizabeth married in Salem, Columbiana Co, OH in 1869. Her father was Francis (b abt 1813) and mother Margaret (b abt 1812). There were two other daughters, Janet and Margaret, but they may not have survived (this family had a high infant mortality). I also know that between 1907 and 1914 there were a daughter living in Salem, a daughter living in New Philadelphia and a son living in Youngstown. Is it possible to track them down? Was there a census in this period which might make it possible to find the son?
