Searching for info on Robert PENNELL and his family. Robert PENNELL was born sometime either 1772 or 1777 in Ireland. He and his wife Rosanna (spelling may not be correct) MCMAHON came over from Ireland in the 1800's and eventually settled in Mahoning Co. They brought with them a son William who was b 1801 in Ireland and he married Sarah Ann OLIVER, date unknown. William and Sarah had as I know of two sons Thomas and Barnett. Barnett served in the Civil War as a corporal. I am searching for any other children in which Sarah and William had and how long they lived in this county. I am also searching for any other brothers or sisters of William PENNELL who may or may not have been born in the U.S. Thanks and God Bless. Iva BECKMAN was b in Berlin Center OH in 1922. Her father was Ray Porter BECKMAN b 19 Aug 1890. He believed his father was Elias BECKMAN although after his death it was found out that Charles BECKMAN (Brother to Elias) was listed as Father. Lovina PORTER was his Mother. I am trying to locate info on my Grandfather's Family.

Seeking info on the descendents of John Edward and George Jacob ENNIS, Jr. One of the sons of these two Ennises lived in the Hubbard area near Youngstown. They are half-brothers to my father. I met them and a daughter, Jacqueline, in the late 1950s. I believe that Jacqueline was a TV personality on one of the Youngstown stations back then. Have a wealth of ENNIS, HOUX, DOYLE pedigree info that I'm sure would be of interest to them. Email or snail mail on leads to this family would be greatly appreciated.

Searching for info on BRUCE family of Mahoning & Trumbull Co, OH. Rev. John BRUCE, husband of Eleanor. John d 19 Nov 1816; Eleanor d 9 Apr 1843, age 76. John's will lists three children: Joseph, James, and Betsey. Joseph BRUCE, m Polly SCOTT 18 July 1816 in Trumbull Co. Polly d 1 Nov 1840, after which Joseph married Mary SCOTT 30 Mar 1841. Joseph d 1 Jun 1868. James BRUCE m Margaret (Peggy) JONES 28 March 1821, d 5 Dec 1858. Info on Betsey BRUCE needed. Several other BRUCES (Henry, William) living in area may have been brothers of Rev. John BRUCE. Would like to sort out these confusing families who all seemed to have a son named James.

Looking for info about parents and marriage (in 1866) of Sara Jane SWICK/CARTWRIGHT (29 Mar 1851-1909) and Isaac CRAWFORD (25 Dec 1844-19 Jun 1880) Sara Jane died in Youngstown - buried in Oak Hill Cem. Children: William Jordan Crawford (24 Sep 1875-9 Dec 1947) and John Crawford, Mrs. Charles Evans and Mrs. George Hallden.

Ida Mae WILLIAMS, b 1856, Homer, NY, supposedly married, probably in 1878/1879 Frank SILLIMAN, son of Justus SILLIMAN who fought in the Civil War for OH. Ida Mae was dau of Silas WILLIAMS. Ida and Frank had a son, Charles Kirk SILLIMAN, b 1880 in Youngstown, OH. I am told that Frank died just before or after Charles was born. Ida later marred Emory KIRWAN of Baltimore and he adopted Charles and gave him his name. Looking for proof of Frank SILLIMAN's ancestry, also of marriage to Ida and death.

Thomas N. PEW was the son of Samuel PEW. Thomas was b in 1804 in Lordstown, OH, m Mary DUNLAP in 1826. Her DOB and parents are unknown to me. They had at least 6 children, two of whom married brothers named McCORKLE. I am seeking info about the PEW and DUNLAP ancestry as well as info about all children. Those known to me are Elizabeth, Cynthia, Catherine, Olive, Eveline and Thomas.

Looking for info on Robert Ivan WALKER, b Aug 1892 in Nicholas Co, WV. He eventually moved to the Youngstown, OH area. His wife's name was Esta CHRISTIAN. His daughters were Jenny and Eutha. I'm sure that Robert Ivan is deceased but I don't have a date. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cathy

According to oral history, David STEVENSON left Ireland in 1847 at the age of 19 and went to OH with his brother John or maybe a William. According to the 1850 census, a David and John were living in Youngstown. David left for UT by himself in 1860. Does anyone know of Stevenson's in Mahoning?
